There is a place he likes, if you can make it to North Carolina through the Nonah Porter. A coastal area. If I sent you coordinates, would that suit you?
[he's there, dutifully, with two legs of lamb inside a couple of hours. archie had got there on crobat, but returned the giant bat so it wouldn't be startled by drogon.
or... drogon startled by crobat. archie does really not know what to expect.]
His dark, rough scales and organic sweeps of wing could almost blend him into some of the rocky outcrops of stone or washed up debris if not for his immense size. The blurry footage collected by onlookers on that chaotic night didn't quite lend Drogon a proper send of scale, but he is, certainly, very large. It's likely not immediately clear how he came to arrive, no obvious tracks in the sand that haven't already been faded with wind.
Daenerys is dressed in jeans, T-shirt, leather jacket, boots, and the only give away of her more medieval heritage being how she winds her hair into old fashioned braids. She is standing where Drogon lays his head down, hands pressed against his shoulder. One wing is spread slackly, as if he can't be bothered getting comfortable. He breathes, slowly, and rolls an eye towards the sound of approach.
Daenerys looks, and then moves to intercept. Not urgently, as she might have done if Drogon were more spry. ]
[well. he's certainly bigger than any dang salamence archie's ever seen. he'd watched the footage, though, so he had something of an idea of what to expect.
archie is very used to large spiny animals, but he's also savvy enough to know not to expect drogon to be friendly like most pokémon. he waves at them both, carefully putting the still-wrapped legs down on the sand.]
Yo, no prob. No point havin' these powers if I don't use em for somethin', right? [he looks around her, at drogon.] He's real cute!
[ She is startled, a little, by his assessment -- and then grins, open and wide in a way she doesn't usually do, and twists to look back at the dragon in question. ]
There were those who would agree with you, when he was newly hatched. Less, now. But I think so too.
[ Don't tell him that.
She looks to the meat, nodding once -- it can stay there, for the moment -- and then offers out her hand for Archie to take. ]
It would be best if you approach like this, with me. Even if he's lethargic.
[he can't help but chuckle a little when he takes her hand. yeah, his sharpedo would hate being called cute.]
I get it-- the dragons back home aren't as big, but... they're still dragons?
[even with their trainers, it's stupid as fuck to do something that might startle or anger a fully evolved dragon type. especially if they think you're about to hurt their trainer.]
